Here at Happy Days I take pride in providing a high quality early education service for children aged 3 - 4. Currently there are only three places available at any one time so each child gets a fair amount of attention in comparison to a regular pre-school setting.
We are open for 48 weeks per year between the hours of 8am - 5pm. This means you can choose which hours you would like your child to attend within these times to make arrangements that are convenient for you. You are welcome to speak to me about your requirements.
The term after your child's third birthday they are eligible for government funded childcare of up to 15 hours per week. This means your child could have up to fifteen hours COMPLETELY FREE at Happy Days per week. Any additional hours are charged at £4.00 each.
For all children I keep an EYFS folder (Early Years Foundation Stage). This shows progress in the six areas of learning through observation, assessment and planning. For more information about the EYFS, please see my policies and procedures.
I have been a registered Childminder for over three years and previously worked as a teaching assistant in an early years setting. I am a fun and happy person who enjoys taking children out, all sorts of arts and crafts and letting children explore without interfering!
I have a portfolio in place which contains policies and procedures, training and professional development progress certificates and all the information you will need to decide whether I would be the right person to care for your child.
I have completed my level 3 Diploma in Home Based Childcare, gaining an A grade in each unit. I attend training courses regularly and always keep up to date with Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding Children training.
I am also an Early Years Tutor with the West Sussex Adult and Community Learning Service.
